We see ourselves as not just a team but as a family. From all corners of the country we all came together with a love for the water. We are the ones that keep the wheels turning, or in this case the paddlers paddling. Each one of us are historians, (unlicensed) therapists, photographers, story telling specialists, comedians and most importantly passionate about our jobs. Sometimes we trade hats but we all have the same goal in mind; to get you outside. Our team spirit and expertise helps us create a memoriable experience with not only fun in mind but safety as our top priority.Let us introduce you to our crew!

Cinco & Rigs

Two Truths & a Lie:

  • Rigs is named after a character from the movie Lethal Weapon
  • We are both rescue pups
  • Rigs name was originally Max

Ruff! We are Cinco & Rigs – the official welcoming crew at LPP&K & pups on the logo. When hard at work you can find us begging customers for belly rubs, chasing rabbits in the boat yard or emotionally supporting the rest of our less furry team! We love getting everyone stoked for their adventures with our crew. Outside of working at the shop you can find Cinco being loaded up in a backpack for just about any adventure her humans will take her on. Rigs is still a little unsure of the world but is sure glad he has his brave big sister to show him how incredible it is to grow up on Lake Powell.

Max

Two Truths & a Lie:

  • I’ve traveled to all 50 states
  • I’ve never had raw cookie dough
  • I hate when people sing

I’m Max. Proud owner & operator of LPP&K. Husband to Libby & dog dad to the best pups ever – Cinco & Rigs. Originally from Michigan I love all things water; kayaking, rafting, sailing, canoeing & paddle boarding. I’ve led & participated in numerous expeditions on & off the water. I am an ACA Level III Instructor, PSUPIA Instructor Trainer, Wilderness First Responder, EMT, Swift Water Rescue & Leave No Trace Instructor. I first came to Page in 2013 to help my father & his wife start LPP&K but left within a year to finish my degree in Environmental Science. Met the love of my life, Libby, & together we came back to Page for the opportunity to run & purchase LPP&K. If I’m not throwing around kayaks you can find me somewhere on a river.

Libby

Two Truths & a Lie:

  • My family drove everywhere when we traveled – we never flew
  • I rafted the Grand Canyon during two winter storms
  • My first concert was Jimmy Buffet

What’s (a) SUP? I’m Libby. Owner, wife to Max & mom to Cinco & Rigs. Being from the Great Lakes State of Michigan & my astrology sign being Cancer water is something I need to be close to. Max introduced me to sea kayaking when we first met & never could I have imagined that we would own a Kayak & SUP Outfitter together almost a decade later. While I’m an ACA Level I Instructor I spend more time in the office than on Lake Powell making sure everything is running smoothly. Having a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts I love using my creativity to create a welcoming environment to our store. If I’m not working hard, I’m being creative renovating my home or letting my pups live their best life exploring the Southwest.

Brit

Two Truths & a Lie:

  • I have lived in 13 states
  • I write upside-down & am ambidextrous
  • I used to be an esthetician

Hey, I’m Brit! I am the Store Manager & The SUP Program Coordinator for LPP&K – & also the resident SUP Yoga Instructor. I am PSUPA certified Flatwater I & II SUP Guide as well as trained in Wilderness First Aid. Originally from outside of Chicago, I moved here to Page at the start of 2017. I first set foot on a SUP in 2015 & was instantly addicted, so moving here I was stoked to find a place that encouraged me to grow my skills, knowledge & love of paddleboarding. I am fortunate enough to have been with the LPP&K family since the 2020 season. Aside from getting out on my board, I really enjoy cooking. I’m obsessed with stand up comedy. I love to get out & hike (barefoot whenever possible) with my guy & our two sweet pups. We love taking our little vintage camper out to the woods whenever we get the chance!

Erin

Two Truths & a Lie:

  • I’ve been licked by a giraffe
  • I’ve cuddled a baby jaguar
  • I’ve hand fed a lemur

Hello! My name is Erin, I am the Tour Program Manager & Hiring Manager here at LPP&K. I have been with the team since moving here in the 2021 season. I am an ACA-certified Flatwater I+II Level Kayak Guide as well as a Leave No Trace Trainer. I was lucky enough to be born into an obnoxiously outdoorsy family so I’ve been kayaking since before I could walk. My first job was as a kayak guide & summer camp instructor in the Bay Area when I was 14 years old making kayaking apart of my profession for half my life now. When I’m not on the water you can usually find me at the Page Fire Department where I work as a Firefighter/EMT. If I’m not at work look for me out exploring with my husband & our two rescue pups usually with food in hand & friends close by.

  • I used to teach English in Thailand
  • I have hiked the John Muir Trail
I grew up in California but have been living mainly in Utah and Colorado for the last few years. I live in my vehicle and work seasonally and knew I wanted to spend a summer being a kayak guide, so when I saw a job opening for LPPK in Page I immediately applied and here I am!
And in my free time I like to hike, read, and do yoga

I really enjoy hiking & kayaking on Lake Powell because I grew up camping, fishing & swimming with my family. I have two beautiful dogs, whose names are Finn & Leia. I love being a Tour Guide & getting to welcome people from all over the world into our beautiful land. Julia

Two Truths & a Lie:

  • I used to take diving classes
  • I love being in planes
  • I graduated high school at 16

Hey, I’m Julia! I am a cashier for the LPP&K store. I was born & raised here in Page, & basically grew up on Lake Powell! That consisted of camping, swimming, boating, & all the other amazing things this place has to offer. I joined the LPP&K crew at the beginning of 2022 & everyone took me in with open arms. When I’m not in the store greeting you with the best smile in town you’ll probably catch me goofin’ off with my friends, taking my dog on awesome hikes, or even just soaking up some Arizona sun!

Kenna

Two Truths & a Lie:

  • Moving here was my first visit to Lake Powell
  • I used to show horses
  • I am a quiet introvert

Greetings earthlings, I’m Kenna! I am WFR certified (wilderness first responder) Guide for our incredible kayak excursions out here on Lake Powell. I moved here from Colorado to work & play with LPP&K, but was born & raised in West Michigan. Growing up, the Great Lakes consumed my life so when I fell in love with outdoor recreation, Lake Powell was the obvious place for me to put down some roots & continue to fervently pursue my passions. When I am not on the lake you can find me rock climbing, snowboarding or just generally chasing a little adrenaline. I am always so stoked to get to show folks the little corner of Earth I get to call home here in Page, America.

Austin

Two Truths & a Lie:

  • I am an only child
  • I can’t swim
  • I started my first business at 15

Hey folks, Austin here! I am one of the boat captains for LPP&K as well as a tour guide – you may even see me on the ramp over at rentals occasionally too! I am an ACA-certified Flatwater I + II level Kayak Guide & Coast Guard Certified Boat Captain. I began with LPP&K in the 2022 season & I have been kayaking for about 10 years now. I was previously a real estate agent in Houston, TX where I am originally from. I grew up hunting & fishing & continue to do both as much as I can. I also love to golf, snowboard & wakeboard. When I’m not on the water you may find me cruising around town or out in the desert on my 1970 Kawasaki Trail Boss, or maybe taking off on an adventure to explore more of this wild area!

Dana

Two Truths & a Lie:

  • Got tubed while kayaking in an 8ft surf
  • Suspected drug lord
  • Pissed up the nose of a bear

Dana lives & breathes Page/Lake Powell. His passion for the water brought him to us, eager to guide. Within a year of joining our team he retired from his career at the local hardware store to work with us full time. Dana has lived many lives but his home is on the water. Some refer to him as the Keith Richards of kayaking. The only time you won’t catch Dana on a tour is at church or taking his wife out for date night!

Ryan

Two Truths & a Lie:

  • Three girls have a tattoo on them that represents me
  • I’ve never been outside the United States
  • I broke my jaw during COVID by face planting in the driveway

Hello humans. My name is Ryan & I was born in Sacramento, California. I have a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from Sacramento State that I’ve never used. I used to be a store manager at Starbucks & ran a multi-million dollar drive thru. After that stress I decided I preferred seasonal jobs & being outside. I worked in Northern California at a farm, Sacramento at an Orchard & Catalina Island as a Zipline Guide. I love traveling especially in my van, adventuring, hiking, backpacking, anything on the water & coffee. My deep dark secret is that I’m vegan. I enjoy reading biographies & books about places I plan to visit in the future. One of my favorite vacation spots is Hawaii but I also enjoy Oregon & Santa Cruz, Ca. I’m excited to explore Page & to be a kayak guide this year. I truly enjoy guiding (& tips) & can’t wait to work with you!

Chris

Two Truths & a Lie:

  • I can say the alphabet backwards in under 5 seconds
  • I am a two time state champ alligator wrestler for the state of Kentucky
  • I’ve worked for Oprah

Hey there, my name is Chris Brumley & I’m one of the newest additions to the guiding team here at Lake Powell Paddleboards & Kayaks. In addition to being a guide, I’m an actor, rock climber & (sometimes) barista. Once described as an “indoor kid”, I traded the comfort of the couch for the call of the great outdoors after snagging my first job in the outdoor industry in 2015. Since then I’ve worked as a high ropes course director, assistant rock climbing coach & hiking guide to name a few. I’m ACA Level I Kayaking certified, Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Certified as well as a certified Rocket Yoga Instructor. If you can’t find me outside or kicking it in my van, Roxy, look for me on the screen by checking out my socials or IMDb. And remember, in kayaking (& life): slow is smooth & smooth is fast. See you on the water!

Hannah

Two Truths & a Lie:

  • I can’t ride a bike
  • I’ve bungee jumped off a bridge
  • I have a degree that I’ve never used

Hi, I’m Hannah from Indiana! My husband & I are new to Page, but not new to adventure. I love learning new skills & doing “weird” jobs, which is why I’ve worked on cruise ships, at Disney World, for a Big Foot museum, in Grand Teton National Park and in Peru as a teacher. You’ll find me at the front desk &/or on your tour! I spend my free time hiking, teaching color guard & doing craft projects. Catch me at the thrift store after work!

Coty

Two Truths & a Lie:

  • I’m a professional painter
  • I love my wife
  • I’m 5 feet tall

My name is Coty & I’m a country boy from Ohio. My wife, Hannah, & I just moved to town. You’l

l usually see me over at rentals, probably wearing overalls & cowboy boots. I spend most of my time in the summer building bonfires, grilling & camping – I also refuse to leave the house if it’s cold out!
